Doom Eternal Urdak: Mission 12 Walkthrough And Tips

You’ve made it to Doom Eternal‘s second-to-last mission! Below you can find a walkthrough detailing how to get past it, as well as tips for how to deal with the big boss fight at the end.

For walkthroughs of Doom Eternal’s other chapters, check out our guide hub collecting what we have up so far. We’ll be publishing more in subsequent days. But if you’re looking for more basic Doom Eternal tips, be sure to read our guide detailing everything you should know before playing. Otherwise, you can read our Doom Eternal review.

Mission 12 Walkthrough — Urdak

Walk forward and take a right once you emerge outside. Stand on the green pressure pad, and a glyph will appear in front of you. Use this to launch yourself over to the next platform, then take a left and do so again. There’s another pressure pad platforming sequence here, only now you’ve got to do some additional pole swinging and wall-climbing to progress forward.

No Caption Provided

Once you’ve traversed past this area, head inside and shoot a button to disable the lasers and pass through. Carry on, and you’ll eventually reach a cutscene introducing (Yes, even this late into the game) a new fodder enemy type called the Makyr Drone. They’re more of a pain to deal with than the other fodder enemies, however, mainly because their bodies are armored. Use the Heavy Cannon’s Precision Bolt to dispatch them with a headshot, which also results in an explosion of ammo and health you can pick up. Take care of the Makyr Drones and the rest of the enemies in this arena, then use the climbable walls to reach the exit.

Proceed through the vent and traverse to the next area. Kill the enemies that show up, then melee the block behind one of the doors and climb up so you can reach and Dash into the statue. Use the platform that appears to swing on the nearby pole and make your way to the next vent. There’s a Buff Totem in the area when you exit, so drop down to the right, head up the stairs and take a left to find and destroy it. Defeat the rest of the enemies in the area, and use the pole nearest to the exit to swing up to the higher platform and hit the switch to disable the lasers.

No Caption Provided

Make your way through the facility until you reemerge outside. Launch yourself over to the next platform and take care of the enemies waiting for you here, including another Marauder. With everything dead, follow the waypoint to activate the portal and align the first teleporter ring. Head back outside and use the launchpad to reach the next platform where you’ll have to contend with more Demons. There’s an Archvile here, so make sure to take care of it first. Use the next launchpad directly in front of you and make your way into the next building.

Defeat the enemies inside, hit the switch to open the door, then head through and kill the rest of the enemies in the next combat arena. From here, follow the waypoint through the exit and use the walls suspended in mid-air to reach the next area. Hit the next button to align the second teleporter ring. Exit the room and take the elevator up, then go back outside and launch yourself back to where you were before. Now use the other launchpad, and you’ll land in a combat arena with a Buff Totem. Quickly take a left and carry on. You’ll find the Totem underneath an overpass. Once that’s dealt with, defeat the rest of the enemies.

No Caption Provided

Head inside the now-open door and ride the elevator up to find the third and final button to align another teleporter ring. Exit the room and travel back to the central platform. Follow the waypoint through the door and make your way around until you come to a set of lasers and some purple water. Dive into the water and break through the wall directly underneath you. This will lower the water level, allowing you to climb up and hit the switch to disable the lasers. Step into the elevator and prepare to fight the next boss.

Boss Fight – Khan Maykr

The fight against Khan Makyr feels like a battle of attrition due to her six health bars. The Ballista should be your weapon of choice here since it’s accurate and only takes five shots to drain one of her health bars. When this happens, she’ll flash green and enter a vulnerable state, allowing you to use the Super Shotgun’s Meat Hook to propel yourself towards her and deal damage with a Blood Punch.

No Caption Provided

Repeat this strategy throughout the fight, using the Heavy Cannon’s Precision Bolt to defeat the Makyr Drones that swarm in to replenish your health and ammo. Khan Makyr will fire a few projectiles in a row that you can avoid by Dashing to the side. She’ll also occasionally summon a fiery death ray from the skies that you’ll want to Dash as far away from as possible. Her other attack douses the floor in a damaging liquid, so you need to avoid those areas when it happens. Once she’s defeated, it’s time to head back to Earth.

Korean Zombie Movie Train To Busan’s Sequel Gets Scary First Image

Parasite is one of the most successful foreign language movies ever released in the US, but it’s not the only South Korean hit to have found a big audience in the west in recent years. The 2016 zombie action movie Train to Busan is one of the biggest movies ever released in South Korea and grossed more than $1.2 million at the US box office. Anticipation is high for the the follow-up Peninsula, which arrives later this year. The first image and new details have now been revealed.

In an interview with ScreenDaily, director Yeon Sang-ho spoke about the movie and explained that it wouldn’t be a direct sequel featuring the same characters as Train to Busan. “It takes place four years after Train To Busan, in the same universe, but it doesn’t continue the story and has different characters,” he said. “Government authority has been decimated after the zombie outbreak in Korea, and there is nothing left except the geographical traits of the location–which is why the film is called Peninsula.”

“The scale of Peninsula can’t compare to Train To Busan, it makes it look like an independent film,” he continued. “Train To Busan was a high-concept film shot in narrow spaces whereas Peninsula has a much wider scope of movement.”

The first image from Peninsula has also been released. It shows an infected zombie charging through water, and looks suitably scary and action-packed. Check it out below.

No Caption Provided

The movie is set to focus on a soldier who must return to zombie-infested Seoul on a dangerous mission and teams up with a group of non-infected survivors. In the interview, Sang-ho also spoke about the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and how it related to his movies, which also deal with a global pandemic. “Of course I never dreamt of anything like the new coronavirus,” he said. “But recently I have been learning news about the collective selfishness that you do see facets of in Train To Busan and in Peninsula, that brings about tragedy.”

Peninulsa doesn’t yet have a US release date. However, it’s due to hit Korean theaters in August and has already been picked up for a US release by Well Go USA, who have released numerous Asian movies over the past few years. Borderlands 3 Next Level Cap Increase Will Give Big Boost To Late-Game Builds

Borderlands 3 is preparing for another level cap increase to come alongside the release of Guns, Love, and Tentacles. When the update hits on March 26 you can raise your Vault Hunter’s max level to 57, an increase of four more points since it was last raised in February. And this particular increase could have a big impact on gameplay.

As noted on the Borderlands blog, the new level cap will allow you to select two capstone skills rather than the standard one. Those skills are among the most powerful in a Vault Hunter’s arsenal, so being able to double-up opens a whole new array of possibilities. Gearbox says it anticipates this to come with a “huge surge of power for endgame players” and the ability to experiment with wild new build types.

The blog also reiterated that the game is on track to follow its spring 2020 roadmap, which includes Mayhem 2.0 in April. That will give Mayhem Mode a dedicated tab in your Echo Device so you can adjust it on the fly. There will be 10 Mayhem levels and 25 modifiers, and the higher your Mayhem level, the better loot will drop.

That will come alongside the free Revenge of the Cartels event in April, which includes a new Mansion area. The occupants of the Mansion will change based on which of the three gangs currently runs the place, and each gang offers unique loot and Anointed parts. Plus you can earn some retro-inspired Revenge of the Cartels gear during the six-week event.

Guns, Love, and Tentacles focuses on the wedding of Wainwright and Hammerlock, a couple of fan-favorite lovebirds from the campaign. Naturally, their nuptials don’t seem to go off without a hitch. Check out an extended gameplay session from the upcoming DLC for more.

Doom Eternal Nekravol Part 2: Mission 11 Walkthrough And Tips

You can find a walkthrough below detailing how to get past Doom Eternal‘s eleventh mission: Nekravol Part II. Finish this one, and you’ll be on track to the final boss fights!

Mission 11 Walkthrough — Nekravol Part II

Follow the path forward and take care of the enemies on the bridge. With all of them defeated, find the lantern with a green flame. From here, you can jump to the climbable wall on the platform across from the bridge. Climb up, avoid the flames, and leap to the next platform to do the same. Then use the Dash Refill to reach an opening into the building.

No Caption Provided

There are a few enemies in the next area, but nothing too threatening. Clear the area and continue following the waypoint until you reach a cutscene. Once it ends, a swarm of enemies will spawn in. You’ll have to contend with a Baron of Hell and a Doom Hunter, among others, but there is a yellow Overdrive power-up you can grab on one of the upper platforms. This greatly enhances the speed with which you can move and shoot, letting you tear through enemies for a short while. After everything’s dead, follow the waypoint through the exit and drop down the hole and into another cutscene.

Multiple enemies spawn into this combat arena, but there is some BFG-9000 ammo underneath the altar. You’ll want to use this to damage the Archvile that eventually appears, making sure to get behind its shield. Focus all of your attack on the Archvile until it’s dead, then get to work finishing off the stragglers. At this point, another Marauder will show up, so use the same tactic as before, using the Zombies that show up to replenish your health and ammo. With the Marauder killed, jump over to the waypoint and exit this room.

No Caption Provided

You now need to make your way up by jumping between some spinning platforms. Aim for the green lights to avoid the spikes, then take the elevator once you’ve reached the top. Jump over the large chasm at the top and climb up the wall to reach the next level. Go up with the jump pad, climb the wall, and leap over the chasm again. Now you need to get on top of the platform moving up and down in the next room and melee one of the breakable walls to get through. There’s a decent amount of enemies in this small space, including a couple of Cyber Mancubus, so use the jump pads on either side of the corridor to create some space.

Once everything’s dead, use a jump pad to reach one of the upper platforms and break through the wall to reveal some poles you can use to swing up higher. There are gold-plated walls you can latch onto here, so use them to reach the top. There are a few enemies to take care of, and you’ll also need to destroy the eyes that open on the middle structure. Taking out two will open up the path forward, so head through and activate the elevator.

No Caption Provided

The final combat arena in this mission is relatively large. As soon as you emerge, you’ll see a Tyrant standing right in front of you. The Tyrant may be big, but it’s very slow as a result, so you can move to the left or right and deal with the other enemies without it bothering you. Shoot the Tyrant whenever you can, and it’ll eventually fall after enough damage. Once this area is cleared out, stand on the pressure pad, and destroy the two chains. Then you need to jump into the Argent Stream to complete the mission.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint Gets Free Weekend To Celebrate Big Title Update

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was not only a disappointment critically, but a commercial one for Ubisoft. But its developer isn’t calling it quits yet, and today’s big title update is proof of that. Breakpoint’s new immersive mode and Episode 2 of its ongoing DLC content are now live. To mark the occasion, Breakpoint will be free to play from March 26 to March 29 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Deep State, the latest adventure to be added to Breakpoint, has Splinter Cell protagonist Sam Fisher link up with the ghosts again, this time to help track and take down a new threat on the island of Auroa. Sam Fisher previously crossed-over with this franchise in Ghost Recon: Wildlands, despite not having his own game to star in for many years.

The title update also includes the long-awaited Ghost Experience, after it was delayed at the last minute the last time out by Ubisoft. This new gameplay toolset lets you customize your Breakpoint experience to your taste, letting you toggle settings like regenerating health, HUD elements, and more. You can read the full patch notes for more information.

If that sounds great to you but you’re still on the fence about committing to Breakpoint, Ubisoft is here to entice you with a free weekend starting this Thursday. You’ll get access to the full game (without this latest adventure, unfortunately) and be able to mess around with the new difficulty and gameplay settings to see if Ubisoft has whipped Breakpoint into a shape that is appealing. To play on console, you’ll need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold. If you want to keep playing after this weekend, the game will be up to 70% off on all platforms, and your progress from the free weekend will transfer over. You can find more information on the Breakpoint free weekend at Ubisoft.

At launch, the game earned a 4/10 in GameSpot’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint review, with critic Richard Wakeling writing, “Ghost Recon’s identity as a tactical shooter has evaporated and been replaced by a confused patchwork of elements and mechanics from other, better games. Its defining characteristic boils down to just how generic and stale the whole thing is.”

Doom Eternal Nekravol Part 1: Mission 10 Walkthrough And Tips

You’re now in Doom Eternal‘s final set of missions! To think you’ve come this far alongside us on this journey. Below you can find a walkthrough of the game’s tenth mission, which details how to clear the way towards the game’s impending conclusion. Remain focused, and you’ll be through this hell-ride in no time!

Mission 10 Walkthrough — Nekravol Part I

Head up the stairs and take care of the Cyber Mancubuses and Arachnotron. Dodge the fireballs to the right and follow the path around until you can climb up. Swing on the pole to grab the wall, then jump through the opening in the building. Once inside, defeat the other group of demons hanging around and continue forward to find a combat arena.

From the stairs, the first thing you’ll want to do is jump to one of the broken pillars in the center of the arena. From there, you can easily reach a purple Onslaught power-up floating in the air. Use this to make short work of the Tyrant that spawns by the large double doors, then get to work on killing the rest of the enemies in this area. When you’re done, step on the glowing green pressure pad and drop into the hole.

No Caption Provided

Hit the switch, and a few enemies will swarm in. You can use the Crucible to quickly dispatch the Dread Knight, or stick with your regular arsenal in case you want to save it for another time. Once everything’s dead, shoot the green symbol and quickly head through the gate that opens. The block in this next area is on a timer, so melee it, shoot the green symbol again to open the door, and then quickly clamber up the block and latch onto the climbable wall above it. Hop in the cage, and you’ll be transported to the next area.

From here, you’ll want to jump between platforms to avoid standing in the lava. A few Pain Elemental’s will show up to try to stop you, but focus your fire on the four Eyes of Kalibas that open up to destroy them. Getting rid of all four will disable the shield around Kalibas, so hop on its platform and melee it to open the path forward.

You’ll notice a floating green symbol on your left. Shooting this–and the others like it–will activate spike traps that drop from the ceiling. You can use this one to wipe out all of the Zombies that come stumbling through, then follow the path around to another room with one of these spike traps in the center. Make use of the trap to kill any of the enemies dimwitted enough to walk underneath it. With everything defeated, carry on moving until you come to a vast chasm. Jump and Dash across to the other side to grab onto the wall and climb up.

No Caption Provided

There are a few enemies that need dealing with in this corridor, and a whole lot more once you either use the jump pad or head up the stairs. There’s another spike trap you can utilise, and some BFG-9000 ammo if you want to use a shot to clear out a plethora of enemies at once. Eventually, an Archville will appear, so use the Crucible if you can. If not, focus your fire to defeat it as quickly as possible and stop it summoning any more enemies. Once this area is cleared out, follow the waypoint back to the chasm and jump to the right to grab onto another wall and climb up.

Clear out the enemies waiting for you, then jump between another few climbable walls–avoiding the flames on the way–and step on one of the cages transporting humans to take a ride up. Step off on the next floor and Dash between the two alternating spike traps to reach another combat arena. There’s a Buff Totem in here, so ignore the enemies and quickly make your way up the platform on the right side of the room. From here, you can jump between two other platforms to reach and destroy the Totem. With that taken care, you’re free to wipe out the rest of the enemies in the room.

No Caption Provided

There are more cages transporting humans upwards in this area, so step on the right-sided one and use this to reach the climbable wall. From here, you can jump past the illuminated green light and reach the other side where there’s a switch to press. Now head past the spike traps on the other side of the room and take out the Marauder waiting for you here. When it’s dead, you can hit the other switch to open the double doors back in the main room.

Follow the path through, and you’ll enter a combat arena. You can use the BFG-9000 to clear out most of the enemies in this room, but there are also a couple of Doom Hunters you’ll need to take out. Once everything’s dead, use the poles or jump pad in the middle of the room to reach the illuminated green platform. From here, jump to the left, avoid the spike traps and fire, then climb up until you can melee the statue. Hop into the hole it created to finish the level.

This Excellent RPG Is Free To Claim On PC For A Limited Time

If you’re deals-savvy, you can usually find a free game here or there, but the past week has brought an avalanche of freebies like we’ve never seen. To help lift people’s moods and give them something to do while stuck inside, publishers and storefronts have been handing out free digital games left and right, mostly on PC, and Ubisoft is pitching in with a new freebie of its own. From now until March 28 at 9 AM (your local time), you can snag Child of Light for free on Uplay. Once you claim the game, it’s yours to keep. Uplay is Ubisoft’s PC games launcher, and you can download it for free here.

Child of Light is a platforming RPG released in 2014. It follows a princess named Aurora who falls asleep in her bed and doesn’t wake up the next day, leaving her father, the Duke of a kingdom, grief-stricken and bedridden. However, Aurora wakes up someplace quite different: a fantasy land known as Lemuria, where she learns the sun, stars, and moon have been stolen away by the Queen of the Night. Child of Light features turn-based battles where Aurora can attack, drink a potion, or defend using a shield, and she’ll gain party members to help her out over the course of her journey. Her best support comes from Igniculus, a glowing wisp and her main companion, who can blind enemies and gather healing orbs for her.

While several years old at this point, Child of Light is a journey worth experiencing, especially while it’s free. It earned an 8/10 in GameSpot’s Child of Light review for its lovely, somber tone, beautiful music, sharp combat, and more.

“Child of Light is a remarkable adventure,” wrote critic Tom McShea. “Once I accepted the sadness that is so intertwined with every element, I grew so much closer to Child of Light. It’s easy to heap praise on the combat because it’s so interesting and engaging, and it’s certainly a high point in this adventure. That’s not what makes Child of Light stand out, though. Rather, it’s how confident it is in its own feelings of woe. There are so few games willing to explore that dull ache that I became mesmerized by Aurora’s journey, even when I needed to step away from her plight while I regained my composure. Child of Light is a wonderfully realized, somber adventure, and I couldn’t be happier that such a game exists.”

Normally selling for $15, Child of Light is free for the next couple of days, so be sure to grab it while the offer is available. Plus, check out our updated list of all the free games you can claim this week and see more of the best TV, movies, and games to play while you’re stuck inside.

The Division 2 Update Coming Wednesday, Check Out The Patch Notes Here

The Division 2’s latest update for its Warlords of New York expansion will go live on Wednesday, March 25 at approximately 7:30 AM ET / 4:30 AM PT, following a three-hour downtime for server maintenance. The patch notes are already here, however.

The update retunes health and armor values across the board for enemies and allies. This includes a reduction in damage output for all enemies and NPCs, reduced health and armor for elite enemies, and an increase in health and armor for Heroic and Legendary enemies. It also changes Seasonal Manhunts to allow all players to receive progress towards their goals at Normal difficulty or above, regardless of what difficulty was set by the group leader.

The patch increases the drop rate for Coyote’s Mask on higher difficulties. The developers also say that they’re “looking into” giving the item to players who are Season Rank 35 or higher and do not already have it.

The Division 2’s Warlords of New York expansion added new maps to the game’s New York City environment and a totally-overhauled gear and power system, as well as raising the level cap to 40. It costs $30.

Full patch notes below:

Gameplay changes

  • Seasonal Manhunt is changed to allow progress at Normal difficulty and above. This will make playing together easier as all players will gain progress no matter what difficulty was set by the group leader.
  • Seasonal Manhunt is receiving a button in the Manhunt UI that allows players to reset the Manhunt to replay it. This allows players to reset the progress specifically and without changing the Global Difficulty.
  • This also means changing the Global Difficulty will not reset the Seasonal Manhunt and players are required to reset it via the Seasonal Manhunt UI.
  • Coyote’s Mask will drop from Coyote with an increased drop chance on higher difficulties.
  • We are also looking into providing the Mask for players that have not received them even though they reached Season Rank 35.
  • Increasing the reward quality for the following Open World Activities to be in line with other activities: Public Execution, Settlement Blockade and Propaganda Broadcast.
  • Reward caches from Conflict matches at maximum level are now of High-End quality.

Balancing changes:

Developer Note: The game was tuned in a way that playing the exact same enemy composition at higher difficulties and higher player counts would match to the expected gear of that difficulty and extra players added. However, since the game also adds more Elites and Veterans to accommodate higher difficulty and player counts, this caused tuning to overcompensate health and damage higher than intended. We are thus lowering many of these values.

  • Reduce NPC Damage output for all difficulties.
  • This applies to all NPCs and activities and enemies will do less damage to players compared to their current damage output.
  • Reduce NPC Health and Amor for group scaling.
  • Enemy Health and Armor scaling for 2-, 3- and 4-player groups based on Veterancy.
  • This means Red, Veteran, Elite and Named enemies will have their Health and Armor reduced compared to their current values.
  • Additionally, we are adjusting Health and Armor based on activity difficulty.
  • This applies to Hard and Challenging difficulties where enemies will have lower Health and Armor compared to their current values.
  • An exception are Heroic and Legendary difficulty enemies which will have their Health and Armor increased to compensate for the group scaling reductions to their values.

Developer Note: We still intend Heroic and Legendary to be very challenging. Therefore, we are increasing the base difficulty to account for the health reductions for co-op scaling. Compared to now this means Heroic and Legendary will be a bit harder for solo players and 2-player groups, 3-player difficulty will stay roughly the same, and 4-player difficulty will be easier.

  • Black Tusk specific adjustments which went live earlier last week
  • Reduced the health of Warhounds.
  • Reduced damage of Warhound Sniper.
  • Reduced the damage of the 360 spin of Warhound minigun.
  • Increased the intention icon duration of the 360 spin from Warhound Minigun to give players more time to react.
  • Reduced weak point health of Warhound Grenadier’s Control Unit.
  • Support Station
  • Reduced Base Health of Support Station.
  • Adjusted health scaling of Support Station with Veterancies.
  • Increased likelihood of Support Stations being deployed in the open (away from cover).
  • EMP effects will now damage the Support Station.

Lvl 30 WT1-WT5 Content

  • NPC Damage, Health and Armor will receive additional reductions.

Developer Note: Pre-Warlords of New York content has lower maximum values to weapon damage, skill damage, and armor (etc.) than level 31+ content so difficulty is now tuned separately for pre-expansion world tier content.

PvP Balance Changes:

  • All PvP weapon damage: – 20%
  • PvP Rifles: an additional -10%
  • PvP MMRs: an additional -10%

Skills
