PES 2020 Is Now The Official Football Title Of The UEFA EURO 2020 Tournament, And Will Receive Free DLC

eFootball PES 2020 will once again be the home of the UEFA license. FIFA 19 scored the exclusive rights to UEFA last year, but Konami has now announced that the next game in the PES series will be the official UEFA EURO 2020 videogame, as was previously the case from November 2008 until April 2018.

The exclusive partnership deal means that a free downloadable content pack will be released during the second quarter of 2020, featuring the national teams’ kits, crests and players before the tournament’s June start. The game will also feature all the national teams at launch. PES has also snatched the rights to both Juventus and Atlético River Plate away from FIFA 20 this year; this, coupled with the name change (the ‘eFootball’ is new) indicates that this will be an important PES release. Konami is also planning an esports tournament, the UEFA eEURO 2020 tournament, which will culminate in an event held in London before the finals of the UEFA EURO 2020 tournament.

The press release announcing this news included a message from Guy Laurent-Epstein, the marketing director of UEFA Events SA: “We are very pleased to continue and extend our working partnership with KONAMI. UEFA EURO 2020 provides an opportunity to build an even closer working relationship, allowing us to activate it in new and exciting ways, and to engage with our mutual fans around the world.” Jonah Lygaard, the senior director of brand and business development at Konami, also had this to say: “Our teams have pulled out all the stops to secure the biggest and best licenses possible for eFootball PES 2020; quality licenses that match the level we set each year when it comes to gameplay. The partnership with UEFA and the EURO 2020 tournament is a big win for our community and new users who look for fresh content throughout the year.”

eFootball PES 2020 will release on September 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

A New Dragon Quest Builders 2 Update Has Added An Epilogue, A Third Save Slot, And Much More

Dragon Quest Builders 2 has received a substantial free update, extending the game’s ending and giving players more options and save slots. The update is live now and available to download.

The update gives players a third save file, as well as a third storage slot for Buildertopia islands. There are numerous tweaks across the board, but the most substantial addition is the new epilogue content, which follows on from where the game’s story ends. It will let you check in on various characters from the adventure, if you want to see what they’re up to. The full list of changes and additions introduced in this update is below.

  • New “Where are they now?” story content has been added for certain characters who appeared in the main scenario
  • The number of Buildertopia islands that can be stored at one time has been increased to three
  • The number of save slots has been increased to three
  • New hairstyles have been added to the dressing table
  • A new plant growth option has been added to the Settings menu
  • The cursor speed for the Buildnoculars can now be adjusted from the Settings menu
  • Five new items have been added that can change the weather on certain islands
  • The number of rooms that exist on an island will now display when the game is paused
  • The speed of the animation when learning a recipe using gratitude points has been adjusted
  • The action of waving the war banner after the game has been completed has been adjusted
  • An arrow indicating the direction that certain objects will face now displays before they are put down
  • Other miscellaneous fixes

In her 8/10 review of Dragon Quest Builders 2, Heidi Kemps praised it as “the sort of game that you’ll intend to play for a little while, only to find that hours have flown by once you manage to actually put it down.” The game is available on Switch and PS4.

IT Chapter Two First Reactions Twitter Roundup

Members of the press were able to attend early screenings of Stephen King’s IT Chapter Two, and the first impressions are a bit of mixed.

Many say that IT Chapter Two doesn’t quite live up to the high standards of the first film, but it still has some great scary moments and the cast is fantastic. A lot of praise was also given to Bill Hader, who many say stole the movie.

Here’s our roundup of the first reactions to IT Chapter Two.

IGN’s own Jim Vejvoda said that IT Chapter Two “can’t quite stick the landing nor live up to the high expectations set by Chapter One,” although there still are some “creepy set-pieces & solid perfomances to make for an effective albeit formulaic conclusion.”

Pokemon Go Ultra Bonuses Revealed, Include First Gen 5 Pokemon And Jirachi

Pokemon Go developer Niantic has rolled out an assortment of bonuses to reward players for completing all the Global Challenges during the recent Pokemon Go Fest event in Yokohama, Japan, but there are still more rewards on the way. Because players managed to clear all of the Global Challenges from this year’s three Go Fests, Niantic is releasing a variety of Ultra Bonuses in the game soon, and they include the return of several Legendaries–as well as the first appearance of some brand-new Pokemon.

The Ultra Bonuses will be released in waves over the next several weeks. First, from September 2-9, some Pokemon originally from the Johto region will appear in the game. During that week, players may hatch Unown letters U, L, T, R, and A from 10 km eggs, and the Legendary dogs Entei, Raikou, and Suicune will return to Raid Battles. On top of that, players will have a chance to find Shiny versions of Sentret and Gligar in the wild.

The next set of Ultra Bonuses will be available from September 9-16. During that time, some region-exclusive Pokemon like Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros may hatch from 7 km eggs, and those who are really lucky may hatch their Shiny forms. All five forms of the Mythical Pokemon Deoxys will also appear in five-star Raid Battles. To help you challenge it, Pokemon that are effective against Deoxys will appear in lower-tier Raids.

The final wave of Ultra Bonuses, which will be available from September 16-23, will introduce the first Gen 5 Pokemon to Go. The Gear Pokemon Klink will appear in Raids, and players will have a chance to encounter Shiny versions of it, Patrat, and Lillipup. On top of that, Mewtwo that know Psystrike will appear in five-star Raid Battles, and you’ll have your first chance to catch a Shiny Mewtwo.

In addition to those three waves of Ultra Bonuses, all players will be able to undertake a new Special Research questline that leads to an encounter with the Mythical Pokemon Jirachi, and any Pokemon eggs placed in Incubators over these three weeks will hatch in half the time as normal. You can read more details about all of the Ultra Bonuses on the official Pokemon website.

One Punch Man Game Features “Hero Arrival” Mechanic

With Gamescom 2019 in full swing, announcements are trickling out at a steady pace. Prolific anime game publisher Bandai Namco has unveiled a trailer for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, which shows new gameplay mechanics and characters.

Alongside series regulars Saitama, Genos, and Speed-o’-Sound Sonic, S-Class heroes Terrible Tornado, Silverfang, and Atomic Samurai are joining the game’s roster. These three characters bump A Hero Nobody Knows’ roster to 13 playable characters. It’s unclear what the final roster count will be.

Saitama is known to defeat enemies with one punch, and the new trailer shows how his overbearing strength is used in-game. A Hero Nobody Knows implements some sort of Hero Arrival mechanic, where you must survive while Saitama makes his way to the battlefield. In the trailer below, Saitama is running on the left-side of the screen with quite a distance to go. Performing combos and perfect guards reduces his arrival time. Matches seem to become one-sided when he gets there, as Saitama absorbs a lot of damage and defeats everyone with one punch.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows was announced back in June 2019. No release date was provided, but the 3D fighter is “coming soon” to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
