Here’s Why Carl and Lori Weren’t in Rick’s Final Walking Dead Episode

This interview contains spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 9, episode 5, “What Comes After.”

Although Rick didn’t die in Andrew Lincoln’s final episode of The Walking Dead, our hero was visited by several “ghosts” from his past while attempting to outrun a herd of walkers and make it back to his family: Jon Bernthal’s Shane, Scott Wilson’s Hershel, and Sonequa Martin-Green’s Sasha – each of whom gave our bleeding hero some much needed advice and motivation when it seemed he might be ready to give up and become zombie chow.

Many fans were disappointed that Chandler Riggs’ Carl and Sarah Wayne Callies’ Lori didn’t make an appearance for Rick’s swansong, given their close connection with the character, but Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang tells IGN that their close familial bond is exactly why the writers chose to keep Carl and Lori out of sight.

Deadpool 2’s PG-13 Version Gets A Title, Release Date, And Wacky Fred Savage Details

We’ve learned a lot more about the upcoming PG-13 version of Deadpool 2. Deadline reports that the movie is titled Once Upon a Deadpool, and it’ll release through a “limited-engagement” in the United States on December 12. It’ll only play in theaters until Christmas Eve (December 24).

As for what’s different in the new cut, Deadline reports that the “lion’s share” of the new edition is the same footage from the original Deadpool 2, but with its violence and language toned down. A new multi-scene “framing sequence,” dreamed up by Ryan Reynolds and writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, was also shot for the new PG-13 edit. There are eight new scenes in all, and they were reportedly shot in a single day.

Another element of Once Upon a Deadpool is that it’s going to be a vehicle to help drive awareness and raise money for cancer research. $1 from every ticket sold will go to the F**k Cancer campaign, but it’ll be called “Fudge Cancer” at ticket sales locations.

Regarding the new framing sequence, it will involve the actor Fred Savage, who starred as the little boy in the beloved cult classic The Princess Bride. In Once Upon a Deadpool, the merc will apparently kidnap Savage and featuring the same bedtime-story setup as The Princess Bride. Now that Savage is a grown man, this is set up to be very comical.

“Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Reynolds told Deadline. “I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”

Savage told Deadline: “While my participation in this film was anything but voluntary. I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab.”

Deadpool 2 opened in May this year, and it made $734 million during its theatrical run. The 2016 original was a bigger hit, bringing in more than $780 million at the box office. Those are massive figures, all but ensuring there will be a third Deadpool movie sometime down the road.

Deadpool 2 PG-13 Release Gets New Title and Limited Engagement Run

The previously announced PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 now has a title and limited release dates.

According to Deadline and confirmed through the official Deadpool Twitter account, the newly-edited version will be called Once Upon a Deadpool and will release in theaters on Dec. 12, concluding on Christmas Eve.

The PG-13 version will offer some new scenes with Ryan Reynolds and Fred Savage that were all filmed in one day.

9 New Things in Just Cause 4 – IGN First

Rico Rodriguez is back, and so is IGN First.

All month, we’ll be showing off exclusive footage and impressions of the most insane open world Avalanche has created yet, from the game’s new Army of Chaos features to using physics alone as a weapon. But first, let us get you up to speed.

Just Cause has always had a fairly straightforward philosophy – blow s**t up, and look cool doing so. But just because that approach hasn’t changed doesn’t mean you won’t have new ways to do it. Here are 9 new features coming along with Rico for the new adventure.

Grapple Upgrades

Just Cause is not a back-to-basics kind of series. Rico’s grappling hook has become more and more useful over the course of the series, and now it’s a truly multifunctional device. Aside from helping traversal and tethering objects and enemies together, it can now also attach rocket boosters and airlifter balloons from close to the start of the game. All of those functions can be combined – ever wanted to make a flying rocket bus? – and even modded to act exactly as you want them to. Oh, and you can have ten tethers of any kind equipped at any one time. Have fun.

After Luke Cage and Iron Fist: Every Upcoming Marvel Movie and TV Show

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is already a massive, sprawling enterprise that includes 20 films to date, and numerous TV spinoffs. And that cinematic universe keeps getting bigger all the time, with more films and new TV seasons arriving on a regular basis.

As the MCU heads towards the culmination of all that has come before in Avengers 4 next year, we figured now was a good time to once again look at every new MCU project in development. From Captain Marvel to new seasons of the hit Netflix shows — not to mention the cancellation of Luke Cage and Iron Fist — here’s everything you need to be on the lookout for in the next few years.

Unfortunately, not all the news has been good lately when it comes to the future of the MCU. As noted, Netflix recently announced the cancellations of both Luke Cage and Iron Fist, and Marvel has put Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on hold after the controversial firing of director James Gunn. On the other hand, fans can now look forward to several new MCU series on Disney’s upcoming streaming service.

Fortnite Challenges: How To Get The Lil Kev Back Bling

Fortnite has opened up a new set of limited-time challenges in honor of everyone’s favorite sentient otherworldly cube. Your reward for completing the event is a Kevin the Cube to call your own, nicknamed Lil’ Kev, as a new piece of back bling.

The event takes place in two phases. First, you have to log on anytime before 1 PM ET on November 5 to unlock the Lil’ Kev challenge pack. That will unlock a set of three challenges, which themselves are pretty simple. You’ll have until November 11 at 1 PM ET to finish them to earn the back bling.

Unlike Fortnite’s weekly challenges, which are usually catered toward some specific seasonal content, these challenges will be naturally obtained if you play some Fortnite over the coming week. You’ll get completion simply by playing matches, earning XP, and outliving opponents.
