Fortnite Week 6 Maps: Carbide/Omega Poster Locations, Search Between Playground (Season 4 Challenges)

Another batch of challenges are available in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Players who have purchased the Season 4 Battle Pass can complete a set of seven objectives for Week 6, including those that have you searching for a point near a playground, as well as Carbide and Omega posters that you have to spray over. Here’s how to complete all of the Week 6 challenges.

First up are the posters. Week 6 challenges task you to spray over different Carbide or Omega posters. You’ll find these scattered around the map, and you’ll need to spray on top of seven of them total. There are more than twice as many on the island, and this doesn’t need to be done in a single match. Spraying over a poster just involves holding the use button/key, just as you would to open a chest. You can consult the map below to see all of the poster locations that we’ve been able to confirm.

The other tricky challenge for this week is a Hard-difficulty one that has you search between a playground, campsite, and footprint. This might not be tough if you recognize some of these locations, but you can just check out the map below to see exactly where you have to go. Located in between these points, you’ll find a Battle Star icon; just walk up to it and you can collect it to complete the challenge.

The remainder of Week 6 is relatively straightforward. You’ll need to deal 1,000 damage with shotguns, which you’ll most easily be able to do in close-quarters, indoor locations–heading to a place like Tilted Towers may be your best bet. Another calls for you to search three supply drops; these spawn more often in some alternate modes, so you may have more luck finding one by jumping into one of those. Searching chests in Loot Lake and eliminating opponents in Retail Row is as simple as repeatedly dropping at those locations at the start of a match until you’ve racked up your requisite numbers. If you can get your hands on an SMG while in Retail Row, you can also knock out another challenge–three SMG eliminations.

Completing these challenges will reward you with varying numbers of Battle Stars, which rank up your Battle Pass and allow you to get your hands on new skins and cosmetics. For a rundown on everything this season, check out our Season 4 challenge guide.

Dead Or Alive 6 Announced Just Prior To E3; Releasing Early 2019

Dead or Alive 6 is on its way. An announcement trailer dropped on the eve of E3 2018, showing off a few of the fighters, arenas, and new combos that will be included. The game is coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC in early 2019. Dead or Alive 6 will be the first in the franchise to release exclusively on current generation hardware, and it shows.

The Dead or Alive franchise has always boasted impressive graphics, but Dead or Alive 6 appears to feature the most realistic visuals yet. The trailer for the game, which debuted on IGN, shows off how characters make different facial expressions in response to attacking, defending, dodging, or being hit. A more haggard look and bloody wounds appear on fighters who suffer a nasty combo, and delivering a flurry of blows will leave a combatant covered in sweat.

Visuals aren’t the only aspect that’s getting a makeover. Although Dead or Alive 6 features the same system of complex combat that appeals to fighting game veterans, it introduces two new mechanics to aid beginner players: Fatal Rush and Break Gauge. These new special combos let players pull off devastating attacks with very little practice. Mastering the perfect timing for these attacks will still prove challenging though, providing an extra incentive for more advanced players to learn the ins and outs of these new moves.

So far, only Kasumi, Hayate, Hayabusa, Helena, Jann Lee, and Zack have been confirmed for Dead or Alive 6. However, according to director and producer Yohei Shimbori, more familiar faces are on the way, as well as some brand new fighters that players haven’t seen before.

Action-RPG Indivisible Gets New E3 2018 Trailer And Playable Demo

Indivisible, an action-RPG developed by the same minds that created Skullgirls, got a new beta demo. The demo comes as a free update on Xbox One, PS4, and PC for players who backed Indivisible’s Indiegogo campaign. A new E3 trailer for Indivisible accompanied the demo announcement.

Created by Lab Zero Games, Indivisible puts players in control of Ajna, a rebellious tomboy. She sets out on a quest to avenge her destroyed village, and discovers she has the ability to absorb other individuals into her being. This allows her to utilize the attributes of other people and quickly call upon allies in combat. While roaming, Indivisible plays like a beat-’em-up platformer. In certain combat instances, the game transforms into a turn-based RPG.

The new demo showcases Indivisible’s improved battle mechanics, while offering players new enemies to fight, quests to complete, and characters to play as. Of the recent battle mechanics added to the game, the most notable come through in the newly-created boss battle with Pindayar. Pindayar, a giant spider, is one of Indivisible’s “hybrid bosses” that force the player to constantly switch between two different playstyles: strategic fights and hack-and-slash platforming.

The three new characters released in the demo are Nuna, a plant-summoner; Latigo, a gunslinger; and Baozhai, a pirate queen. All three characters can be seen in Indivisible’s new trailer, aiding Ajna in battle as she travels to seven of the game’s diverse locations. The trailer also reveals some of the new combat animations, enemies, and bosses.

Indivisible is set to launch in 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Be on the lookout for our E3 coverage of the game.

Suicide Squad 2: 12 Monkeys & Gotham Star Co-Writing Script

Though he may have only lasted two episodes of Gotham–appearing as “The Mask” Richard Sionis in Seasons 1 and 2–Todd Stashwick isn’t ready to leave the DC universe just yet. The actor, who also stars on 12 Monkeys as Deacon, will co-write the sequel to Suicide Squad.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Stashwick and co-writer David Bar Katz will tackle the script, alongside Suicide Squad 2 director Gavin O’Connor. The duo is taking over from Adam Cozad (Legend of Tarzan), who previously worked on the movie’s script.

The movie will be Stashwick’s first feature writing credit. However, given his intimate knowledge of DC villains–thanks to his playing one–he could very well be the right choice when it comes to writing an entire movie about them. Katz has a bit more experience. After writing a number of projects with John Leguizamo in the 1990s, his script for The Man in the Rockefeller Suit landed on the black list–the annual list of highly regarded scripts that have not yet been produced. He’s also developing a film with Warner Bros. and Robert Downey Jr.’s production company.

The news was first revealed when Stashwick appeared on an episode of the web series Popcorn Talk. The actor says it came about after working with O’Connor as an actor, leading to them discussing the project and their shared DC fandom.

No release date or story details have been announced for the sequel to 2016’s Suicide Squad. It’s also not the only villain-centric DC film in the works. It was recently revealed that Jared Leto’s Joker is getting a standalone movie. There’s also that Margot Robbie-led Birds of Prey film, in which she reprises her role as Harley Quinn.

4 Game of Thrones Spinoffs We Would Definitely Watch

UPDATE: News of a Game of Thrones prequel from creator George R. R. Martin and writer Jane Goldman (Stardust, Kingsman, X-Men: First Class) just broke, with the show expected to takes place thousands of years before the events of the current series during the Age of Heroes. But there are reportedly still other ideas floating around at HBO as well for the land of Westeros, so we figured it was a good time to look once again at some of the spinoffs we’d like to see based on Martin’s world.

The possibilities really are endless within the world of Game of Thrones. We’re only looking through a small window into the worlds of Westeros and Essos, but there are plenty of interesting plotlines that have only been touched upon. With that in mind, we broke down the stories we’d love to see explored more and the characters who would deserve to ground their own series. It was hard to pick only four!

E3 2018: Nintendo Press Conference Liveblog

Nintendo’s press conference will wrap up the briefings for this year’s E3, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be lacking. We’re expecting to see more about Super Smash Bros. for Switch and Let’s Go, Pikachu and Eevee during the conference. On the floor, Nintendo will host two tournaments for the new Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon 2, and hand out special collectible pins to attendees who bring a Switch along.

We’re not exactly sure what other surprises Nintendo will have in store this year, but there are plenty of rumors already. We hope to see more on Metroid Prime 4 and Yoshi, both of which were teased at last year’s show.

In typical Nintendo fashion, its conference this year will be pre-recorded and presented in the “Nintendo Direct” form. It’s set to air at 9 AM PT / 12 PM PT / 5 PM BST on Tuesday, June 12, just before the show floor opens. After the conference, Nintendo will host its usual Treehouse livestream throughout the remainder of E3.

Just Cause 4 Leaked By Steam Ad, E3 Reveal Looks Likely – GameSpot Daily

Just Cause 4 Leaked By Steam Ad, E3 Reveal Looks Likely – GameSpot Daily

An ad for Just Cause 4 has appeared on Steam, but unfortunately there’s no release date or confirmation on whether it’ll come to PS4 and Xbox One, in addition to PC.

The press conferences for E3 2018 haven’t even started yet, and it feels like we’ve already had all the surprises spoiled for us. After its inclusion in the recent Walmart Canada leaks, the Square Enix-published Just Cause 4 has been leaked again.

Kotaku spotted an ad to pre-purchase the game on Steam, accompanied by a dark and foreboding image of Just Cause protagonist Rico Rodriguez. What’s even more disturbing is there aren’t even any explosions present in the image. I know. Messed up. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about Just Cause 4, so even if it does take on a darker tone, I’m sure there will still be explosions somewhere.

This leak all but confirms Just Cause 4, and we’ll report back as we learn more. However, this near-confirmation gives even more credence to Walmart Canada’s recent leaks. Games that have already been confirmed include Rage 2, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Lego DC Super-Villains. On the other hand, we still haven’t seen any confirmation of the other leaked titles, which include Splinter Cell, Borderlands 3, Gears of War 5, and Dragon Quest 2.

Just Cause 4’s leak headlines toady’s episode, but we also have stories on Crackdown 3‘s delay, the reveal of Life is Strange dev’s new game, and our first look at Dead or Alive 6. Yes, that’s what you’ll find in today’s show, but be sure to tune in every day of the week at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST/7 PM BST/4 AM AEST for another episode of GameSpot Daily. We cover the most exciting gaming news in 30 minutes or less.

Game Of Thrones Prequel Series Announced For A Pilot Episode, First Plot Details Revealed

It is finally happening, or at least starting to. HBO announced today that it has greenlit a pilot for a Game of Thrones prequel. The network also released the first plot details, and it sounds ambitious.

There were five or more prequel pitches being worked on, and HBO selected the one from Kingsman: Secret Service and Kick-Ass writer Jane Goldman. George R.R. Martin is involved, too, serving as an executive producer.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the untitled show is set “thousands” of years before the events of HBO’s Game of Thrones. “The series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour,” reads a line from the announcement. “And only one thing is for sure: From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East, to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”

EW reminds us that the Age of Heroes started 10,000 years before the events of the current show, according to the fiction. Some of the characters who could show up, based on this timeline, include House Stark founder Bran the Builder and House Lannister founder Lann the Clever. Notably, Bran the Builder is known for building The Wall, so that could be explored.

Bear in mind that HBO has only ordered a pilot, not a full series. It is possible some of the other pitches could get pilot orders as well. In fact, EW’s sources said HBO is still considering the other four ideas. What we do know is that any new Game of Thrones show would not air until after Game of Thrones Season 8 in 2019, so don’t expect the new show to premiere until 2020 at the very soonest.

Game of Thrones creators and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are not involved in the new show. As reported previously, they are working on Star Wars movies and an HBO show set in post-Civil War America where slavery remained legal. However, Benioff and Weiss are not actively working on the project, according to The Washington Post.

According to math, Daenerys is the most likely of all the major Game of Thrones characters to die in Season 8, but if Game of Thrones has taught us anything, it’s that nothing is certain.

Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres sometime in 2019. There are six episodes in all, which doesn’t sound like many, but remember that they might all be as long as movies. In other news, we recently learned about a battle scene that took 55 nights to shoot.

Kick-Ass Reboot And New Kingsman Projects Announced By Director Matthew Vaughn

Matthew Vaughn, the acclaimed director who brought us Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class and perhaps most notably, the Kingsman universe, has announced several new projects in the works. A new film in the Kingsman series was already pretty much confirmed; his other new projects, however, might surprise some fans. In an interview with Empire, Vaughn announced that not only is he working on a Kingsman spinoff but he is also rebooting the cult-favorite Kick-Ass movie based on the comics by Mark Millar.

The Kingsman spinoff will be called Kingsman: The Great Game and will be a period piece looking at the Kingsman organization at the turn of the 20th century. It will also likely be shot in direct succession with the new Kingsman movie, which will conclude most of the existing storylines.

As for the Kick-Ass reboot, this may come as a surprise considering that the film didn’t do particularly well upon its release, but it did gain a dedicated following in the same way that projects like Firefly have in the past. The reboot is said to focus on Kick-Ass himself, who is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Vaughn also reports that there have been talks for making a solo Hit-Girl movie played by Chloe Grace Moretz.

There is no official release date for any of these movies, though the third Kingsman is expected to come out in the fall of 2019. Anyone who is eager to know what might happen in the new Kick-Ass movie(s), Vaughn says, “Look what Mark Millar is doing with the comic for clues.”

Finally, if you’re still hungry for more Kingsman, there is apparently an eight-hour TV show and a Statesmen film on the way which will focus on the American agents introduced at the end of the last Kingsman film played by Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and Halle Berry. Looks like it’s going to be a busy few years for director Matthew Vaughn.
