Netflix has acquired the foreign streaming rights for DC Universe’s new Titans series. The series launches in the US on October 12, while the Netflix streaming deal gives DC a cash infusion to show it elsewhere, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series was originally developed for TNT, but then joined the newly launched DC Universe streaming service as its first scripted drama. It follows Robin as he steps out from the Bat-family to lead a new group of heroes, including superheroes Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy. DC Universe costs $8 per month, bringing together original television series, comics, and classic movies.

So far the service is in its infancy–it only launched last month–but we’ve been impressed by what seems like a solid start with room to grow. The model works similarly to CBS’ All Access, which offers Star Trek Discovery as an exclusive streaming show.

“DC Universe, as a beta, isn’t filled with too many bugs and actually works exceptionally well for something this large,” wrote Mat Efring. “The only real downside is the lack of certain content, specifically the DCEUDC extended cinematic universe movies. DC Universe will be a thrill to DC Comics readers and enthusiasts but doesn’t have that mass appeal it needs yet. Hopefully, that will change with the release of series like Titans.”

Pokemon Go‘s Ultra Bonus Event has come to an end, but developer Niantic has extended one of the bonuses it offered. The studio announced that Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros will continue to hatch from 7 km Eggs until October 8, giving you a little more time to get your hands on these rare Pokemon.

What makes these four monsters particularly desirable is that each one is normally exclusive to a certain region. Tauros can only be found in North America; Mr. Mime only appears throughout Europe; Kangaskhan is primarily found in Australia; and Farfetch’d is limited to Asia.

To add any of these Pokemon to your collection, you’d typically have to either travel to said regions or trade with someone who has already captured them, but even the latter option requires both players to meet in-person. Thanks to this bonus, you’ll have a chance of hatching the monsters from 7 km Eggs–the same type of Eggs that are also capable of hatching Alolan variants.

In addition to that, Pokemon Go players still have a chance to capture Mewtwo. The Legendary Psychic Pokemon began appearing in standard Raid Battles for the first time on September 20, shortly after Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres left the game. Mewtwo will remain a Raid Boss until October 23. Meanwhile, the Mythical Pokemon Deoxys has begun appearing in EX Raids, an exclusive type of Raid Battles that require an invitation.

Pokemon Go’s next Community Day event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 21. The featured Pokemon this month will be Beldum. While Niantic has yet to announce what special move it will be able to learn during the event, it will presumably be Metagross’s signature attack Meteor Mash, which was recently discovered by dataminers in the game’s code.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is the upcoming sequel to last year’s Marvel blockbuster Spider-Man: Homecoming, and it’s set to hit theaters in July next year. It has been rumored for several months that the film’s villain is Mysterio, with Jake Gyllenhall playing the role. While Marvel has yet to officially announce this, new on-set images released suggest that Mysterio is indeed the movie’s bad guy.

The pictures were taken on the Far From Home set in Liberec in the Czech Republic, and while they are not exactly close-ups, you can clearly see Gyllenhall in Mysterio’s distinctive red-and-purple costume. Check it out below, with more over at comicbookmovie.

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5, 2019. Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker, and the cast also includes Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson. Homecoming‘s Jon Watts is returning as director.

While specific plot details are still under-wraps, we do know that the movie will start immediately after the events of Avengers 4, which arrives in May. Last year, Marvel boss Kevin Feige spoke about how the film will kickstart the next phase of the MCU. “So much happens in [the third and fourth Avengers movies], as you can imagine, and so much is affected by it, that we felt what better person to hold your hand and lead you into the next incarnation of the MCU, in a grounded, realistic manner, than Peter Parker?” Feige said. “So, coming out two months after Avengers 4, [that’s what] much of what the next Spider-Man film will be about.”

In related news, production also continues on Avengers 4. Last week, actor Benedict Wong released an intriguing behind-the-scene image that hints at one of the movie’s possible villains.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches October 12, but pre-ordering it gets you a $10 reward certificate. Select stores are planning midnight openings to let fans pick up their copy when it launches; you can see if there’s one near you here. Previous games in the series are on sale this week, including Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles Edition for $25 and WWII Gold Edition for $30.

Sports fans can save $15 if they purchase Madden NFL 19 and FIFA 19 together. If you want to save some cash by playing last year’s football game, you can pick up Madden NFL 18 for just $15. Also on sale for $15 is Mass Effect Andromeda.

A few special DualShock 4 PS4 controllers are available this week for $65 each, including the 500 Million Limited Edition, Berry Blue, and Sunset Orange models. If you’re in the market for a headset, you can save $15 on a Turtle Beach Stealth 600 for Xbox One. And if you buy any console headset, you’ll save $10 on a three-month Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Other games on sale this week include Overwatch Game of the Year Edition and Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition for $30 each. Battlefield 1 Revolution, which comes with all of the expansions, is on sale for just $20, as are Middle-earth: Shadow of War and the racing game Redout Lightspeed Edition.

It’s October, and the streaming giant Netflix is unleashing a plethora of new content on its streaming service. Starting on the first of the month, new movies, TV series, and Netflix originals will trickle out onto the service, with new content being added pretty much daily. It can be a lot to go through, but don’t worry, we will be highlighting some choice picks for you to check out.

Returning for a second season on October 5 is the adult animated comedy Big Mouth. Comedians Nick Kroll and John Mulaney star as two adolescent boys going through puberty. The raunchy series has the duo trying to understand life, girls, and everything else while dealing with hormone monsters and uncomfortable moments in early sexuality.

Speaking of returning Netflix originals, Castlevania comes back for a second helping on October 26. The series follows Trevor Belmont as he fights the evil forces of Dracula. Season 1 writer Warren Ellis returns, picking up on the huge cliffhanger from last year with Alucard. This season will add more episodes for a total of eight, doubling up from Season 1’s four.

As far as movies and television go, October 1 is when Netflix will release most of its content. Out of everything coming out that day, you’ll want to watch/rewatch the classic ’80s adventure movie The NeverEnding Story or the first rated-R Marvel movie that matters–sorry, Dolph Lundgren’s The Punisher—Blade. Additionally, Blade II will be available as well. Also, Season 4 of Gotham is coming to Netflix as well, and you can see just how crazy this series has become for yourself.

Sadly, there are a few great items leaving the service as well. The fantastic comedy series Freaks and Geeks is on its way out on October 1, along with Sin City and The Lost Boys. Even though Halloween is right around the corner, The Babadook is headed out on October 14 and V/H/S 2 leaves on October 24.
