Kingdom Hearts 3’s Opening Song Is a Skrillex/Utada Hikaru Collaboration

Square Enix has confirmed that the opening theme song to Kingdom Hearts III, titled “Face My Fears,” is a collaboration between longtime Kingdom Hearts theme musician Utada Hikaru and Grammy Award-winning artist Skrillex.

According to Square, Kingdom Hearts fan Skrillex previously intended to work with Hikaru to remix “Don’t Think Twice,” a previously revealed Kingdom Hearts III track. Their collaboration grew into the new track, which will be released on Jan. 18, 2019 alongside “Don’t Think Twice.”

Producer Poo Bear also collaborated on the track. A listing from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers days ago hinted at this possible collaboration, but Square has at last confirmed it’s a reality.

Bad Times at the El Royale Review

Bad Times at the El Royale is a cleverly constructed crime yarn about a group of strangers faced with crossing the line between right and wrong. And there is a literal line running through the story’s seedy setting, a ghost town of a resort on the Nevada-California border that’s faded since its swingin’ Rat Pack-era heyday.

One character is merely staying there because it’s cheaper than staying in Reno proper, another is on the run, and two more are looking for something hidden on the hotel’s grounds. None of the guests know what really happens inside the El Royale and none of them are looking for absolution — that’s the goal of a different character — although events just might end up offering it to some of them. Choices define people, actions trigger consequences, and even a bad person might be capable of doing something good. But there can be a heavy price to pay for doing the right thing.

See Tom Hanks As Mister Rogers

Sony Pictures has released the first image of Tom Hanks as Fred Rogers in its upcoming movie based on the beloved host of the children’s TV show Mister Rogers Neighborhood.

Sitting on the steps of a trailer, Hanks absolutely looks the part. The hair, the pants, the shoes, and the red sweater–it’s all exceptionally close to the appearance of the real Fred Rogers.

The movie tells the story of the real-life relationship between Rogers and journalist Tom Junod, who profiled Rogers for Esquire in 1998. Junod will be played by The Americans star Matthew Rhys.

“After a jaded magazine writer is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about empathy, kindness, and decency from America’s most beloved neighbor,” reads a line from the movie’s official description (via Collider).

Sony’s TriStar Pictures is producing the film. TriStar president Hannah Minghella said the upcoming movie wants to “remind us all of the transformative power of kindness and respect to heal and to unite.”

Marielle Heller (Diary of a Teenage Girl) is directing the film off a script from Transparent writers Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster. It hits theaters on October 18, 2019.

The new Mister Rogers movie with Tom Hanks follows the Mister Rogers documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor from Oscar winning director Morgan Neville. It was released earlier this year to much acclaim.
