Snoop Dogg’s New Single Uses Art from an Old Kinect Game
Snoop Dogg’s latest single uses art from the old Kinect game Rise of Nightmares.
First discovered by USgamer, the single “Heavy Hittas” has the same art featuring a frightened man with a pair of hands covering his mouth. The only slight difference between the two artworks is the single’s art doesn’t feature some of the accessories and tattoos from the hands.
IGN has reached out to Sega for comment and will update the story once we hear back.
Fortnite: A Mysterious Hatch Discovered in Wailing Woods
The latest Fortnite patch introduced the new Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup mode, but also included a few new changes to the map. Heading to the northern part of Wailing Woods takes you to a small hatch wedged between a few giant trees.
The hatch is a garage door facing the ground and lifted up at an angle. Don’t bother trying to get inside: the hatch is indestructible, and there’s no way to interact with it.

Thanos Comes To Fortnite, Gets Nerfed Immediately
Fortnite has introduced a new limited-time mode, Infinity Gauntlet, where you can play as Thanos. He’s as powerful as you’d expect, but in a move that could have made Avengers: Infinity War a much shorter film, Epic Games has nerfed him already. Just hours after Infinity Gauntlet went live, Epic has decided that Thanos was just too strong.
Epic confirmed in a post on Reddit that it’s released a hotfix update that dials back the strength of Thanos. Before, a Thanos player had 800 health (which can’t be regenerated) and 300 shields (which refill after securing a kill, which is easy with his supremely powerful abilities). That makes him extremely difficult to kill. And that’s as it should be, given this is just a limited-time mode where balance is not the utmost concern, but it seemed he was just too dominant. As such, Epic has made the following tweaks:
- Shield cap decreased from 300 to 200
- Max Health decreased from 800 to 700
- Laser damage vs. players decreased from 15 to 12
Epic also says it’ll “continue monitoring feedback” in case further changes are needed, but this should give more players the opportunity to get a shot at playing as Thanos. The Infinity Gauntlet mode sees a comet crash down early in the match, leaving behind the gauntlet. Whomever picks it up becomes Thanos, but if that player is killed, the gauntlet is dropped and someone else gets their chance to role-play as the Mad Titan.
Still, actually getting your hands on the Infinity Gauntlet can be challenging, which makes sense. Luckily, we have some tips on how to become Thanos. If you’re not lucky enough to get your hands on the gauntlet, you can also see what it’s like to play as him in the video above.
The Infinity Gauntlet mode does not yet have an end date, but these typically run for about a week. Unfortunately, it won’t be accompanied by any Marvel or Avengers skins. The mode debuted alongside the new 4.1 update, which increases the likelihood of standard matches ending toward the outside of the map.
John Wick 3 Starts Shooting, First On-Set Images Revealed
Following the promotional poster and synopsis that were revealed last month, the much-anticipated action sequel John Wick: Chapter 3 has now started production. The news was confirmed by cinematographer Dan Laustsen, who has posted the first images from the movie’s set.
Inevitably, they doesn’t give much away–one is simply the movie’s clapperboard, while the other features a silhouette of what is presumably star Keanu Reeves standing in a neon-drenched street. But it’s enough to start getting excited about the next part of what has so far proved to be one of the best action series in years. Check one image out below, and the other over at Laustsen’s Instagram page.
John Wick: Chapter 3 is directed by Chad Stahelski, who helmed last year’s Chapter 2 and co-directed the first movie in 2014. While no additional cast members have been announced yet, it’s likely that Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, John Leguizamo, and Laurence Fishburne will all reprise their roles from the previous films. It hits theaters on May 17, 2019.
Last year, Stahelski spoke about his plans for John Wick: Chapter 3. “We want, not so much to go bigger on the third one, but to show you more of the intricacies of the world,” he said. “I feel like there are all these different subtleties that I skipped over in part 2, that I’d like to go back to [with part 3] and show you the inner workings of different parts of New York.”
Development of the long-rumored John Wick TV spin-off The Continental was also confirmed by Starz in January. The channel’s president Chris Albrecht said that the show will “include the thunderous fight sequences and intensely staged shootouts between professional assassins and their targets that fans have come to expect in the John Wick movie franchise as well as introducing some new, darkly compelling characters who inhabit this underground world.” The Continental does not yet have a premiere date.
Could Ant-Man, Wasp, and Captain Marvel Come to Fortnite?
Epic’s Fortnite just ascended to a new level of popularity. For a limited time, players of the game’s Battle Royale mode will have the opportunity to play as Thanos from Avengers: Infinity War, complete with his mighty Infinity Gauntlet and all six of the powerful Infinity Stones. For a full guide on how to get Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet in Fortnite, check out our wiki here.
The fact that this crossover is happening in the first place does more than show the power of Fortnite. Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo openly admit to being massive fans of the online shooter, citing it as the game they would play during breaks from editing the film before they up and called Epic’s creative director Donald Mustard to make this a reality. And in doing so, the brothers may have begun an interesting future between Marvel Studios and Epic. Currently, the brothers have a lot of clout thanks to their work on the Captain America sequels and the two Infinity War films. Since they’re the ones who managed to get Thanos in the game in the first place, and depending on how the Thanos event shakes out, it wouldn’t entirely be surprising if Epic were allowed for similar crossovers with other upcoming films in the MCU.
Pokemon Go: Latios And Latias Now Available In New Regions
Pokemon Go players can now encounter another Legendary originally from the Hoenn region. A month after they first began appearing in the game, the Eon Pokemon Latios and Latias have moved to different locations of the world, where they’ll remain for a limited time.
Beginning today, May 8, players in Europe and Asia will be able to catch Latios, while Latias will appear throughout North America, South America, and Africa. The Pokemon will remain in those regions until June 5, when they’re slated to leave the game.
As before, Latios and Latias can only be found in their respective regions as a Raid Battle, so players will need to team up at Gyms to battle the Pokemon before earning a chance to capture them. Both Legendaries are dual Dragon/Psychic-types, making them vulnerable to Dark and Fairy Pokemon, such as Tyranitar and Mawile.
Latios and Latias aren’t the only Legendaries that Pokemon Go players can catch right now. The Legendary bird Zapdos is also available again, this time as the reward for the latest batch of Field Research quests. The new set of quests revolve primarily around Electric- and Flying-types, and if players can complete enough of them to collect seven stamps, they’ll earn a chance to encounter Zapdos outside of a Raid.
Beyond the current crop of Legendary Pokemon, players have a number of events to look forward to in Pokemon Go. Developer Niantic recently announced the Pokemon Go Summer Tour 2018, a series of real-world events that will be held across the globe this summer, starting with a Safari Zone event in Germany and the second annual Pokemon Go Fest in Chicago.
In the meantime, players still have a few more days to participate in the ongoing Battle Showdown event, which runs until May 14 and makes Fighting-type Pokemon more common. The next Community Day event takes place shortly after, on May 19, and features the Red and Blue starter Charmander.
