Dropping an entire building on my enemies while leaping up in the skies and going through the windows of a building has never been so colorful until I did it in the multiplayer mode of Crackdown 3. At this past weekend’s X018 event, Microsoft gave a new, earlier release date for their next big first-party exclusive (February 15) and formally presented its multiplayer mode. It’s called Wrecking Zone, it puts the “power of the cloud” to work, in real time, and we got to play it.
The mode we tried is called Agent Hunter. This is a 5v5 match where both teams have to face each other in a 10-minute round. The objective is to kill and obtain the greatest number of Badges that the enemies drop when they die. The twist in this mode is that what counts is not the kills, but the Badges obtained. These disappear after 10 seconds, so you must be fast or have been close to the enemy to get them, otherwise your effort will have been in vain. Considering that enemies can be over or below you, you have to think twice when and where you make that final shot.
Stan Lee, the Marvel Comics legend who co-created some of its most famous heroes like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and the Fantastic Four, died Monday in Los Angeles at the age of 95. Lee was reportedly rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he later died, according to TMZ. The cause of death has not been immediately released.
Lee’s legacy is defined by his numerous popular comic book character creations for Marvel Comics, where he began working in 1939 when the company was called Timely Comics. The company changed its name to Marvel Comics in 1961 when Lee and artist Jack Kirby co-created the Fantastic Four and saw it go on to become a hit.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the origin story of how high schooler Miles Morales becomes Spider-Man following the death of his dimension’s Peter Parker. For the first time, a Spider-Man movie revolves around a central character who isn’t Peter Parker. The latter is in the film, but it’s an older, slightly more jaded incarnation of the character, this one from another dimension. But Peter isn’t the only other-dimensional wall-crawler Miles allies with here.
I mean you could like Just Cause for the story. You might be interested in the dark history of the South American island nation of Solís, and its connection to Rico Rodriguez. And perhaps the hero’s ongoing intercontinental tussle with the Black Hand gets you going.
But my guess is that the majority of people are into Just Cause for what happens in between the story – the ridiculous explosions, the grappling hook tethers, the complex interplay of car, building and NPCs’ faces.

Steven Spielberg, the iconic director behind films such as E.T., Jurassic Park, and Saving Private Ryan, reportedly played quite a bit of Pong in his day.
In this month’s IGN Unfiltered, Underworld Ascendant creative director Joe Fielder mused about his brief time working alongside the enigmatic filmmaker on 2008’s Boom Blox.
“Spielberg, he came up with the initial idea for throwing the ball and would check in regularly,” Fielder said. “It was great to be able to tell my dad ‘Steven Spielberg stopped by my desk the other day.’ He’s a gamer. He told a story about how he first got introduced to games, when he was working on Jaws. Richard Dreyfuss said ‘Oh, come here. You’ve got to check this out.’ He and Steven Spielberg went off and played Pong on one of the piers until the machine was full of quarters and couldn’t play anymore. So that was his in for video games.”
Black Friday is quickly approaching on Friday, November 23, the day after Thanksgiving in the US. Walmart has released its circular for the retail holiday, and it contains hundreds of physical copies of moves and television shows–along with TVs–for exceptionally low prices.
Many of these deals, including games, will be available online on Wednesday, November 21 starting at 10 PM ET / 7 PM PT, while the in-store shopping kicks off on Thursday, November 22 at 6 PM, locally. Walmart will not be closing during the early morning hours. However, make sure to check with your local Walmart as hours may vary.
There will be hundreds of movies on sale during the event. In the circular, Walmart only listed a small portion of what will be available in store. It states over 110 movies will be priced at $2, 180 at $4, 70 at $6, 30 at $8, 50 at $9, and 90 at $10. The selection will be very wide for the Black Friday event, but there is a limited stock, so you’ll want to get to your local Walmart early to pick these up.
From the $2 items listed on site, there isn’t anything exceptionally notable, aside from the original Jumanji on DVD. There were, however, a couple decent selections on Blu-ray in the $4 category: Spider-Man: Homecoming and Home Alone. Walmart is also discounting a few movies in 4K to under $10 like Wonder Woman, Deadpool 2, and Rampage. You can also pick up this year’s Mission Impossible: Fallout for only $8, but keep in mind, this is a digital code for Vudu and not a physical copy.

Fortnite developer Epic Games has been introducing new weapons and items to the hit title with nearly every update, and it looks like that trend will continue with this week’s patch. The in-game News feed has given us our first glimpse at a new weapon on the way to Battle Royale mode: the Mounted Turret.
Judging by its description in the feed, the Mounted Turret seems like it’ll be fairly different from the other kinds of weapons you can pick up in the game. “Place the Mounted Turret and hop in to apply some suppressive fire,” the description reads. However, it also warns the weapon can overheat, so you’ll want to use it strategically if you’re lucky enough to come across one. You can take a look at it below.
Epic hasn’t officially confirmed when the Mounted Turret will appear in the game; however, weapons that are teased in the News feed typically arrive as part of the next weekly update, which is expected to roll out for all platforms on November 13 barring any unforeseen delays.
The latest weapon to come to Fortnite was the Heavy Assault Rifle, which launched alongside last week’s 6.22 update. The gun comes in Rare, Epic, and Legendary forms and can be found in chests, vending machines, supply drops, and as floor loot. You can see it in action in the video above.
In addition to that, Epic recently partnered with the NFL to add a line of football jersey skins to Battle Royale; these are available for purchase from Fortnite’s in-game store. The developer has also begun selling a Summit Striker starter pack that comes with a new skin, back bling, and 600 V-Bucks for $5.

The episode, called “A Midwinter’s Tale,” was announced by series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa on Twitter. The announcement also came with a trailer featuring a whole lot of other holiday-themed content coming to Netflix, including Love Actually, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas and more. A slew of Netflix original content was announced as well, including holiday special episodes of Nailed It! and The Great British Baking Show and Fullerhouse, and multiple full-length films.
