The Last Of Us 2 Antique Ring Location Guide – Where To Find The Collectible

Note: We’ve gone out of our way not to include spoilers for anything that happens in The Last of Us Part 2, but looking at any photos or reading any descriptions might give away plot details you’d rather now know. If you’re hoping to remain completely unspoiled, we recommend playing through the game first.

There are quite a few Easter eggs, pop culture references, and callbacks scattered throughout The Last of Us Part 2. Most are story beats or set dressing you can find throughout the world, but a few are more involved than that. Among the many collectibles in the game are two special items you can find that unlock Trophies: the Antique Ring and the Strange Relic. Both are fun callbacks to Naughty Dog’s games of the past–but they’re also both easy to miss. Here’s everything you need to know to track down the Antique Ring, which pops up during Seattle Day 1.

There’s tons of more guides coverage of The Last of Us Part 2 for your enjoyment now that the game is out. You can keep up with the latest suite guides in our huge The Last of Us Part II walkthrough and guide roundup–which also includes some essential tips you should know. But if you’re curious about how the game stacks up, check out our The Last of Us Part II review.

Seattle Day 1 – Downtown

You can find the Antique Ring relatively early in The Last of Us Part 2, during the Seattle Day 1 portion. After getting through the gate into the Seattle QZ, you’ll enter a relatively open-world section of the game as you explore Downtown Seattle. Here, you’ll be able to visit a number of optional locations to find collectibles, supplies, weapons, and upgrades. You can also track down the Antique Ring.

To find the ring, head to the Westlake Bank location, located near the corner of 5th and James on your map. It’s just to the left of where you first enter Downtown.

Get inside the bank and make your way to the vault. You’ll need the code to open it, which you can get from finding the Bank Robber Letter artifact in a bag near a skeleton. Use the code 60-23-06 to open the vault and go inside.

No Caption Provided

Once you’re in there, you’ll find a lot of cool things, including some supplies, an additional artifact, and the Pump Action Shotgun. Finally, head to the back right corner of the vault and look for a safety deposit box you can open. You won’t need a combination; opening it will uncover the Antique Ring.

Naughty Dog fans will recognize the ring, which is engraved with the phrase “Sic Parvis Magna.” The ring is from the Uncharted franchise, and once belonged to Nathan Drake. The ring was previously owned by the explorer Sir Francis Drake, and according to Nate, the inscription means, “Greatness from small beginnings.”

The Trophy you unlock for finding the ring is called “So Great and Small,” which refers to the literal translation of the Latin phrase.

Take your time exploring and looking at everything in the house. When you’re ready go talk to Dina. She’ll ask you to find Ollie. He’s on the tractor outside. Walk up and interact with it to get Ollie. With Ollie in hand, return to Dina inside.

Herd the sheep into the barn by running towards them to make them move. Once they’re all in, enter the barn to make sure they’re locked in. One of the sheep ended up out of there so walk up to it. Follow the stray sheep.

Continue on. A cutscene will play.

After Hunting

Return to the house with a rabbit in hand. You’ll have a visitor. Later that night, you’ll wake up cold. Go downstairs and close the window in the playroom where the guitar is. A series of cutscenes will play and lead into the next section: Santa Barabara – 2425 Constance.

The Last of Us 2 Walkthrough Chapter 8: Seattle Day 3 – The Marina

This The Last of Us 2 Walkthrough for Chapter 8: Seattle Day 3 – The Marina involves following Yara and meeting up with an old friend. Plus locations for all collectibles which include 1 Artifact and 2 Coins.

Coin – Kansas

As soon as the chapter starts, turn around and walk up the small stairs to admire the view. On the ground is a coin.

Go down the stairs. The bottom is a dead end but just before that is a spot where you can jump the railing and land on a platform. Drop down to the ground and follow Yara.

Coin – Louisiana

Follow Yara and you’ll reach a train station. Pause and walk on the right of the ramp. There, you’ll see a bucket with a melee weapon in it and a coin on the ground.

Cut through the train car (loot it for supplies, including supplements!). The fence is blocking your path so go left and down to the water.

Keep to the right. You’ll see a yellow boat ahead but turn around so that your back is towards it and go to the area on the left. Yara will notice it and call it out to you anyway.

Travel through the tunnel, following Yara and wading through the waters.

Artifact – The Marina Note

Before going up the red ladder, move ahead and jump over the concession stand. Then check the counter for a note.

Go up the ladder and once you get up there move forward and jump over the gate. Crouch to get under the truck.

Manny will join you and you’ll need to get into a building far ahead without getting killed by the sniper. Use the cars as cover. When the water gets deep enough you can use it to move but remember, water doesn’t make you invisible. Also, loot the ambulance for supplies.

When you’re finally close enough you can grab the wheely cart from the truck and use it for cover to get to the garage.

Get Through the Garage

When you’re in the garage loot it for supplies, making sure to break the vending machine glass for health. Open the garage with Manny’s help.

Infected will be around. Keep pushing through it with these tips.

Tips

  • Stealth isn’t an option since the sniper shots are giving you away.

  • Like many times, shotgun shells are your friend.

  • Try to stay within a level of cover so that the sniper doesn’t gun you down.

  • At one point a Shambler will appear so save at least one pipe bomb for this big boy.

  • Cover is important to avoid getting sniped

  • Remember to loot the area with the mattress and chairs in the back left corner as you begin to exit the garage.

Chasing the Sniper (safely)

Make your way to the bridge and the sniper will be just ahead. Move from cover to cover. You’re not attacking yet. Keep this method up when you reach the next area(s) filled with seating. Keep this up until the sniper disappears again.

Go to interact with the door and then, on Manny’s suggestion, head for the white door instead. Sneak through the restaurant until you make it outside. A cutscene will play and lead into the next section: Seattle Day 3 – The Island.

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605160124

Artifact – Map of Seattle

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605163339

In the same construction site trailer on the left side of the freeway, look in the second room for a desk drawer by a broken window to find a map of Seattle inside the drawer.

Journal Entry – WLF Gate

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605164229

When Dina and Ellie finally reach the large sealed gate into Seattle, inspect the giant message written by the WLF at the front gate to jot it down in Ellie’s journal.

Artifact – Refugee Note

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605164933

At the abandoned FEDRA military checkpoint at the entrance to Seattle, look for the nearest large military trailer next to the road and head inside to find a note from a refugee left on one of the desks.

Artifact – Infected Infographic

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605165324

Trading Card – Chessmaster

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605210628

After climbing over the FEDRA Gate’s broken wall, move along the catwalk but don’t go down the stairs at the far end. Instead, look up above when entering the tower to find a ladder leading up into a watchtower. In here you’ll find supplies and the trading card on a desk.

Artifact – Isaac’s Orders

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605211617

Also located in the watchtower above the gate, look on the right side next to the ladder for a note left on a green crate.

Artifact – Checkpoint Gate Codes

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605170429

After dropping down on the other side of the main FEDRA gate, enter the nearest military trailer by breaking the glass, and then look into the drawers on the desk where you entered to find a series of codes with a note on the back.

Trading Card – Oozer

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605214722

In the military zone on the other side of the front gate, break through the military trailer on the left to reach a generator on the other side. After you use the power line from the generator to open up the nearby electric gate, unplug the cord and throw it over the roof of the trailer so that it drapes down on the opposite side, and use it to rappel up to the roof. Up here you’ll find supplies including medicine, alcohol, ammo, and a trading card under some scrap.

Artifact – Rooftop Note

The Last of Us™ Part II_20200605214700

Located on the same trailer roof as the trading card, inspect the supplies on the lawn chair to find a note stashed among the other items here.

The Last of Us 2 Walkthrough Chapter 7: Seattle Day 2 – Ground Zero

This The Last of Us 2 Walkthrough for Chapter 7: Seattle Day 2 – Ground Zero includes tips for fighting a new enemy. Plus all collectible locations which include 5 Artifacts, 2 coins, and 1 workbench.

Ground Zero Walkthrough

Follow Nora.

Coin – Washington

But before you walk down the long hallway with her go behind the counter of the hospital cafe. Pick up the coin under the register.

Nora will leave you at Oncology.

Find a Way to Intensive Care

Artifact – Annex Letter

Move to the hallway, crawl under the office furniture blocking the doorway. There’s a body laying on the ground in front of the sink, next to it is a note.

When you’re ready, continue down the stairs. The Intensive Care Unit is locked. Drop down to the area below.

Artifact –   Chapel Note

Go through the open doorway, into a Chapel filled with cots. Pick up the note on the altar.

Artifact – Soldier’s Letter

Exit the Chapel and walk to the opposite side. Near the turnstile on the right is a bag on the ground. Open it for an artifact.

Continue to the yellow door ahead.

Artifact – Patient’s Note

Break the window, crouch down and head into the patient room.

Squeeze through the doors. Watch out for Stalkers growing in the wall (look for their jeans).

Artifact – Doctor’s Note

Break another window ahead to dip into another patient room.

Stand on the counter and crawl through the window above. Be sure to loot all these rooms (as usual!).

Workbench Location – Back Room

Move to the back room and you’ll find a workbench. It’s in the same room as the generator.

Turn the Power Back On

The doors are all electronically operated. Follow the wires to the generator. Before turning it on make sure you’re stocked up on items and ammo.

Exit through the door you can now operate. You’ll still need to squeeze through and when you reach the hallway you won’t be alone. Watch out for Clickers wandering around. Use the exam rooms to hide, gain distance, etc.

Tips:

  • Take down the 2 Clickers in the hall

  • Enter each room, taking down each infected that appears.

  • Loot the rooms for supplies (including supplements)

Head through the electrically controlled doors. Look for the streak of blood on the ground. Always a good sign; follow it! Craft all the items you can and make sure your guns are loaded for what’s ahead. Make sure you have the max number of health packs and have used your supplements recently.

Finally, approach the ambulance and open it. Get inside and open the drawer to finally find the supplies you need.

Hospital Infected Boss Guide (Rat King)

Kick in the window and run for your life, be ready to jump over gurneys and spam buttons to pry open doors. Stay sharp because while most of the time you can run straight, there will be a locked door at the end. Turn around and run ahead, turn right, and pull the axe out of the door to continue ahead.

The Rat King will run at you directly and also let off a burst of dangerous gas due to its Bloater half. Don’t let it catch you and never get too close.

Tips

  • Recommended Weapons: Flamethrower, Pipe Bombs, Shotgun, automatic rifle. But towards the end, anything with bullets will do.

  • Run constantly: weaving around poles, slipping through crevices, running around debris and overgrown piles/clumps, and jumping through windows. Get a few shots in, flee, and continue. There is always a way around, even if it’s too dark to clearly see it right away.

  • Pick up items as you’re running around (from ammo to supplies).

  • Remember you can heal while moving.

  • If the infected boss touches you, it’s an instant death!

About halfway through the encounter Stalkers will break off from the Rat King’s body. Kill them before they kill you.

Squeeze through the exit ahead and climb up the cabinet to the vent. Crawl through. Kill the Stalker that appeared out of nowhere. Loot the entire room you dropped into. Open up the garage door.

Coin – Hawaii

In this flooded garage, approach, the security booth and break the glass. Grab the coin.

Exit and go over the truck. This will lead into a cutscene that brings you to Seattle Day 2 – Return to the Aquarium.
