Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Update–Patch Notes Nerf 725 Shotgun And More

Developer Infinity Ward has released a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update that addresses several issues relating to stability and playability, including adjusting the bugged double-barreled 725 shotgun. The full patch notes can be viewed below.

According to a Reddit post, this new Modern Warfare patch is now live for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. While the headlining feature is a slight change to the 725 shotgun, the patch takes aim at preventing crashes across all modes and platforms, modifying the directional sound and speed of footsteps, fixing Mission Challenge descriptions, and more.

A variety of weapons have been altered in this newly-released Modern Warfare patch. The 725 shotgun, capable of shooting and killing from across the map, has had its range reduced. Alongside the 725, the hip spread of assault rifles has been adjusted, the M4 has had its head damage decreased, and both the EB-14 and FAL saw an increase in their aiming down sights (ADS) speed.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has seen a few patches since its October 25 launch on consoles and PC. Apart from this new patch, Infinity Ward released its biggest update to the Modern Warfare reboot to date. The free 1.07 update added new content in the form of maps and an additional game mode, addressed some of the community’s most-pressing complaints, and more.

Riot Shield

Fix for a bug where a player using the Riot Shield would not take explosive damage during certain situations
Fixed an issue where the Riot Shield would stow on the players back when using Stim (Tactical)

Footsteps

Adjusted to always play walk footstep sounds when in ADS and crouch independent of speed
Increased the speed in which you can remain using the walk footstep sounds by slightly pressing on the movement stick

Challenges

General fix for the UI and Challenge state getting out of sync. We’ll continue to monitor and make additional fixes as needed in future updates
Fix for a Challenge related error that could occur: DEV ERROR 5476
Fix for Mission Challenge description, “Get Kills with a Burst Weapons” being too vague

Spawn tuning while playing TDM and Domination
Domination flag adjustments; B Flag is now near the busses instead of the center fountain

You look different, Sonic! New haircut? No?

After the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie’s first trailer debuted back in April, fans were not exactly thrilled with the iconic video game character’s design. But it was still shocking when–in what was no doubt a very expensive move–Paramount decided to delay the film and redesign the titular hedgehog to be more in line with fans’ expectations.

That pushed the Sonic movie to a February 2020 release, but it also gave it a much better chance of not totally pissing off everyone who’s ever played a Sonic game. To illustrate the differences, we grabbed screenshots from the old and new trailers and put them side-by-side below.

Episode 6 – Another Pack Of Preppers

Alright, time to get your butt ready–we’re about to hike all over these damn mountains and connect a bunch of preppers to the chiral network.

If you remember the last time you were asked to do this, you’ll recall that it was never as simple as just heading straight to them, and that’s definitely the case again. You don’t have access to BB during this entire chapter, for reasons that you probably already know by now, so we’ll have to be careful when travelling through BT areas.

What’s more, you’re about to hit some of the toughest terrains in the game. But, I’ll help you out as best as I can. Grab the two critical quests, and let’s head out–we’ll go to the Doctor first.

I suggest grabbing a couple of ladders, or bringing a PCC and materials to build a bridge and/or zipline. We won’t have far to go, but it’s absolutely worth going out of your way to set up some helpful infrastructure or future runs here–you’ll thank yourself later.

New Sonic The Hedgehog Trailer Reveals The Redesigned Sonic

The new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog is here. This isn’t technically the first trailer–that appeared back in April–but it does give us the first look at the redesigned Sonic. That initial promo was met with much criticism for the way Sonic looked, so the filmmakers took the unusual step of delaying the film to give its Hedgehog star a complete makeover.

It’s quite clear from the very start that the redesign has essentially made Sonic look way more like the familiar video game character, and less “realistic.” While the initial design made Sonic seem more human, presumably to fit in better with the movie’s real actors, this one has a pure comic book look, with much bigger eyes and mouth, and cartoonish limbs. As for the movie itself, it still looks like huge fun, and there’s lots of footage that wasn’t in the first trailer. Check it out below.

Sonic the Hedgehog hits theaters on February 14, 2020, having been pushed back from this November. Sonic is voiced by Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), with Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. Westworld’s James Marsden will feature as a state trooper who catches onto Sonic’s super speed.

Director Jeff Fowler was very quick to address the criticism of Sonic’s appearance after the first trailer. Within a day, he had tweeted that the character would be redesigned, with the date change announced soon after to allow for the extensive extra VFX work.

Disney+ Adds New Cut to Star Wars: A New Hope, Han and Greedo Scene

Disney+ has a brand new iteration of the infamous “Han Shoots First” scene from the first Star Wars movie, Episode IV – A New Hope. It represents the first time the scene has changed since the 2011 Blu-ray, and the most noticeable difference since the scene was first altered in 1997.

After Han Solo says, “Yes, I’ll bet you have,” it cuts to a shot of Greedo saying a full phrase in his alien language before returning to the shot of both of them firing. Greedo says something along the lines of, “Ma-klunk-kley.”

The new phrase does not come with subtitles, even though the rest of Greedo’s dialogue from that scene does. The font of the subtitles has also been changed to the same style that appears on all Disney+ content.
