Why Daredevil Has a Lot in Common With Superman

Comic scribe Brian Bendis turned heads last year when he announced he would be leaving Marvel Comics after two decades to take over writing Superman at rival publisher DC Comics. With Man of Steel #1 out today, the first in a six-issue mini-series that aims to kick off a fresh start and set up key elements of his upcoming run on the Superman solo comic and its sister series Action Comics, Bendis shared some insight with IGN about how he approached writing the Last Son of Krypton. Given that his first major success at Marvel was writing a now-considered-classic take on Daredevil, it’s fitting that the lawyer with super-senses has been his biggest help in figuring out how to write Superman.

Is Rick Still Alive in the Walking Dead Comics?

Warning: this article contains general spoilers for the current Walking Dead comics!

It’s clear that things are changing in a big way for AMC’s The Walking Dead. Yesterday the news broke that star Andrew Lincoln may be leaving the series at some point in the upcoming Season 9. According to Collider, Lincoln’s Rick Grimes will only appear in six episodes total. Whether that means Rick is being killed off or somehow finding a happy ending amid the constant sea of misery that is life in the zombie apocalypse, this means that The Walking Dead will soon be without its main character.

Lobo Explained: Who Is the DC Comics Character?

With the strength of Superman and the attitude of Wolverine, it’s little wonder that Lobo is one of the most popular characters in the DC Universe. And now this bad-a$$ space biker is due for a major popularity boost in the years ahead, as it looks like he could finally be getting his own movie.

Reports emerged earlier this year that Transformers director Michael Bay had met with Warner Bros. and DC about possibly directing a Lobo movie, and had also given the studio some notes on a rewrite of the film’s script. That means now is the perfect time to brush up on all things Lobo and learn why the Main Man has earned himself such a loyal following.

Why Andrew Lincoln Leaving The Walking Dead Could Be the Best Thing for the Show

According to multiple reports, Andrew Lincoln is leaving The Walking Dead in Season 9, bringing an end to Rick Grimes’ story after almost a decade on our screens. And in some ways, it’s probably the best thing the show could do (short of ending it altogether).

Make no mistake, I’m fully invested in Rick as a character – and watching Lincoln’s gut-wrenching performance over the past few seasons – especially in Season 8, when he had to face the death of his son, Carl – has been nothing short of riveting. But after everything Rick has been through, all the people he’s loved and lost, and all the compromises he’s had to make, it seems like the right time to let the cowboy hang up his hat and walk off into the sunset to reunite with “Coral” and Lori in the great beyond. (Sure, it’d suck for Judith, but we all know she’s not Rick’s anyway Daryl and Michonne have proven to be excellent babysitters.) Honestly, it would’ve been a better time to let Rick die last season, as the show seemed to be heavily foreshadowing before pulling the ol’ bait-and-switch with Carl. But hey, better late than never?
