Cyberpunk 2077 Will Likely Be at E3 2018, Won’t Launch With Multiplayer

Cyberpunk 2077 will be shown in some capacity at this year’s E3, and won’t be launching with a multiplayer mode.

Speaking at CD Projekt’s financial results conference, company president Adam Kiciński was asked about what could be shown at the LA gaming conference. “We haven’t announced that yet,” he replied, “we will announce it just before.”

While there’s a chance that that announcement could be ‘we aren’t showing anything at E3’, it seems likely that we’ll see a glimpse of the elusive RPG this June.

As has become a pattern with Cyberpunk details, there’s not a great deal to go on, but Kiciński confirmed that the launch version of the game will be a single-player experience – but wouldn’t rule out different plans for its expansions:

“By their very nature, superhero comics at the Big Two don’t often get to tell lengthy, complete stories with definitive endings. There’s always another story to tell and another bend in the road for these heroes. Part of the appeal with Jane Foster inheriting the mantle of Thor is that her story can truly end. There may always be more enemies to battle and deeds to accomplish for the Odinson, but Jane has been fighting against her inevitable death since her very first appearance in Jason Aaron’s run. And now that she’s reached the end of her road, this series is paying off on years of crucial build-up.” -Jesse

PUBG Updates: Event Modes Coming, Xbox Performance Improved

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting updates for its different platforms in the form of limited-time event modes, as well as improved performance on Xbox One.

Following in the footsteps of Fortnite, Event Mode is “a periodically changing preset Custom Game” where the devs will be “trying new things and experimenting with different game parameters” with the new content “available in the game only for a limited time,” according to the announcement.

The first limited time mode is going to be pretty basic, and will pit teams of eight players against each other, with the rifle drop rate doubled. If you think it doesn’t sound all that different from the usual fare, you’d be right, but bigger things are planned for future modes.
