Dying Light Adds Location, Mode, Enemy, and More in the Latest Update

Techland’s latest update adds a slew of new content to Dying Light, including a Prison Heist mode on Prison Island, and a zombie Easter egg hunt.

Details of the update were posted on Steam and it also brings with it a new enemy called Sgt. Deathrow, and a new seasonal event, the Harran Egg Hunt.

The Prison Heist will ask players to break into the armoury on Prison Island, solo or in co-op, as fast as humanly possible to reap the rewards. The quicker you are, the better the reward.

If you want to pay Sgt. Deathrow a visit, you’ll find the Demolisher in Old Town. Described as “bigger, stronger, and more unpredictable” when compared to the previous Demolisher mutations, taking him down will shower you with XP.

Westworld Season 2: New Trailer Offers a Glimpse of Shogun World

HBO has released a new trailer ahead of Westworld’s second season – and there’s a few (very) brief shots of Shogun World inside.

The trailer gives us more of a look at the seemingly impending human vs. host war, across locations familiar and not-so-familiar. Check it out below:

Set to a typically disarming cover of Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box”, the trailer eventually shows us a few small shots from the much talked-about second park – previously known as Samurai World – due to be revealed this season.

Last Chance To Get These Free PS4 PS Plus Games In March

The end of the month is upon us and that means for digital subscription services, it’s out with the old and in with the new. Sony’s PlayStation Plus line-up will rotate on Tuesday, April 3, which means the next few days are your last chance to get March’s selection of free games.

It was a big month for March, too, with Bloodborne and the Ratchet & Clank remake leading the pack on PlayStation 4. The current-gen system also gets a few bonus goodies thanks to Cross-Buy: Mighty No. 9 from PS3, and Claire: Extended Cut and Bombing Busters from Vita. The PlayStation 3 also has Legend of Kay.

Once April 3 comes, they’ll each go back up to their regular price. As always, claiming these games before the change-over means you can play them as long as you have your Plus subscription. The April PS Plus line-up is no slouch itself, headlined with Mad Max and Trackmania Turbo. Other offerings include Q-Bert Rebooted, In Space We Brawl, Toy Home, and 99 Vidas.

PlayStation Plus routinely offers games spread across PS4, PS3, and Vita, but those days are numbered. The company recently announced that PS3 and Vita games will no longer be offered as part of the program starting on March 8, 2019. Any games you’ve already added to your digital account through the program will remain valid as long as you’re a Plus subscriber, but chances are the sheer number of Plus offerings per month will drop at that point.

New Fortnite: Battle Royale Limited-Time Sniper Mode Available Now

Following an extended round of maintenance, a new update is now available for Fortnite. It introduces a handful of new content to both the game’s Battle Royale and Save the World modes, including a new limited-time event for the former.

For the next few days, Fortnite players can take part in Sniper Shootout v2, a modified version of last month’s sniper-only event. This time around, Sniper Shootout offers solo and squad variants. Epic has also added the Hunting Rifle and Crossbow to the mode, both of which were introduced to the game after the first Sniper Shootout. However, the Magnum has been removed from the mode.

In addition to that, players can only find Legendary weapons in supply drops during Sniper Shootout, while Epic weapons will only appear in treasure chests. Epic has also disabled the downed state for the mode, meaning downed players will now immediately be eliminated. You can find more details about the limited-time mode in Epic’s patch notes.

Epic hasn’t announced an exact end date for Sniper Shootout v2, but limited-time modes are typically only available in Battle Royale for roughly a week, giving you only a few days to play it before the mode is removed from the rotation. However, be aware that there are currently some issues with Sniper Shootout not granting XP, rewards, or progress to players. Epic says it is currently working on the problem.

Sniper Shootout v2 arrives for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile alongside Fortnite’s v3.4 update. That patch adds a new weapon to Battle Royale–the Guided Missile–and an Easter-themed quest line for the paid Save the World mode. It also marks the start of a new set of weekly challenges for Battle Pass owners.

After Update, Fortnite Not Granting Rewards And Progress In Some Modes

It’s a big day for Fortnite, as a sizable update has been released that brings new additions and changes to both Battle Royale and Save the World. However, some issues have cropped up in the wake of its release that are causing players to not accumulate progress and rewards when playing two different modes.

Developer Epic Games has confirmed on Twitter and through an in-game notification that Battle Royale’s new limited-time mode Sniper Shootout v2 is not properly granting XP, rewards, or progress. “We’re investigating this and will update you once we have more information,” Epic said. There’s no word on if any of this will be offered retroactively, so if you’re insistent on leveling up or knocking out the new Week 6 challenges, you should play a different mode for the time being.

Save the World, the paid early-access PvE mode of Fortnite, is also affected by its own similar problem: Rewards aren’t being paid out as they should at the end of missions. Epic says it’s also aware of this and will share more information once it has further details.

Problems aside, there is a lot to took forward to in the newly released 3.4 update. Battle Royale has gotten the new Guided Missile weapon, and the Boogie Bomb has returned after being disabled for a period of time. Other improvements and fixes have also been made, and Epic has eliminated the 30 FPS option from consoles as it feels that the 60 FPS is the best way to play. You can read about all the changes in the full Fortnite 3.4 patch notes.

No Man’s Sky Xbox One Release Announced, Big Update Coming To All Platforms

No Man’s Sky is coming to Xbox One alongside a big new update, developer Hello Games has announced. The game’s Xbox One release is coming at some point in 2018, while the update is also coming for free to PS4 and PC this year.

All previous expansions–Foundation, Pathfinder, and Atlas Rises–will be included in the Xbox One release, while the upcoming update will also be pre-installed. The game’s Xbox One box art states it will be enhanced for Xbox One X with 4K and HDR capabilities, but no details on those features have been announced.

The game was previously exclusive to PS4 and PC after launching for those systems in 2016. Hello Games self-published the exploration title on those platforms, but 505 Games–the publisher behind games such as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and Payday 2–will distribute the Xbox One version worldwide.

No Man’s Sky’s upcoming update–dubbed Next–will also be made available for free to PS4 and PC players. Hello Games says the update will be “an important next step in a journey for No Man’s Sky,” though no further details have yet been released.

In our original No Man’s Sky review, critic Peter Brown awarded the procedurally generated sci-fi game a 7/10. “No Man’s Sky is immediately a massive game with impressive seamless transitions from ground to space, and it will entertain your inner collector for a while,” he said. “The more you get to know it, the more you recognize its faults, and it’s easy to fall so deep into the act of exploring and trading that your focus narrows to those aspects alone. If, however, you consider everything it has to offer and listen to what Atlas has to say, No Man’s Sky becomes more than a collection of slightly different worlds in a seemingly never-ending galaxy–it becomes an examination of the meaning of life in a way that’s more valuable than all the gold or starships in its virtual galaxy.”
