Pinocchio: Tom Hanks Up for Geppetto Role in Disney Live-Action Remake
Tom Hanks is in early discussions to play Geppetto in Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Pinocchio, according to Variety.
Director of Paddington, Paul King, will be directing the film, while Andrew Miano and Chris Weitz are on as producers. King, Weitz, and Simon Farnaby all wrote the current draft of the screenplay.
Pinocchio joins the other recent animated Disney films who had received live-action remakes and saw huge numbers at the box office, including Beauty and the Beast which made $1.2 billion in 2017 and The Jungle Book which was at $966.5 million worldwide in 2016.
Tesla Tried to License Mario Kart for an in-Car Version
Tesla CEO Elon Musk apparently tried (unsuccessfully) to work with Nintendo on an in-car version of Mario Kart.
On Twitter earlier today, Musk was asked about the potential of making certain games playable in Teslas. Specifically, someone asked about Mario Kart.
“How about a version of Mario Kart where you can play against random people who are also charging their car at the moment?” asked @rocketisfine.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades Delayed to 2019
The Elder Scrolls: Blades, Bethesda’s upcoming mobile entry into the long-running fantasy RPG franchise, has been delayed to early 2019.
Revealed on Twitter, the game is still set for an iOS and Android release, and fans can currently sign up for early access. Blades was initially set for a 2018 release, though with just over a month left in the year, this move isn’t particularly surprising.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Clothing Line Includes All These Items
Rockstar Games has announced an official clothing line based on Red Dead Redemption 2. The game developer partnered with clothing company Barking Irons for a line of clothing and accessories that are modeled after what main character Arthur Morgan wore in the game.
Available in unisex sizes from XS to XXL, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Collection, as it’s called, includes a number of items, beginning with the water-resistant Gunslinger jacket ($250 USD). Made of waxed cotton and leather, the shirt features bound buttonholes and the name “Morgan” printed on the collar. It also includes a Van der Ling gang inside pocket print and the Rockstar logo print.
Other items in the collection include the denim chore shirt ($150 USD), the everyday shirt ($120 USD), the Railroad shirt ($120), and the Union henley ($92 USD). The Collection also includes a saddle bag ($180 USD), a large tote ($75 USD), and a riding duffel bag ($325 USD)
“Modeled on the apparel worn by Arthur Morgan and featuring subtle nods to in-game design, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Collection by Barking Irons combines authentic, period era detail with contemporary Americana styling,” Rockstar says.
